visto en rightsandresources.org

The RRI Dialogues on Forests, Governance & Climate Change are designed to foster critical
reflection and learning on forest governance, the rights of forest communities and Indigenous Peoples, and forest tenure in the context of global action to combat climate change.

The sixth global Dialogue in this series will continue to bring together decision makers and civil society organizations on critical issues of the role of forests in the climate change agenda. Sessions will focus on taking stock of new developments on rights and REDD+ in Cancun, the crucial role of forest restoration and reforestation for both climate mitigation and adaptation, and formulating more coherent safeguards and recourse mechanisms for REDD+ programs.

The Dialogues are open to the public, but capacity is limited. Register soon to receive event updates.
